At last pruning

Mars 19
Vindla, Sava our PON and Melica Vindla in the snow

The snow lasted until the 26:th of March. On March 19, Melica and Folke made a short visit to prune the redcurrant bushes. Also this was an easy task because of the careful pruning previous year. Our new puppy Sava joined us. She just loved the snow, but Vindla preferred the soil under the redcurrant bushes, where the sun had melted away the snow.

First visit

January 7
Savoycabbage in the winter First visit in the new year

This winter started very early. We had a continous snow cover from the end of november. It was impossible to empty the hotbed from the composted material, and hence also to fill it up again. However, this didn't stop us from starting pruning in early january. It was a much easier work than the previous year. Only some long shoots and some branches that was left by mercy from the pruning of 2005.
A few Savoy cabbage plants ('Siberia') was showing up through the snow. They were remarkably fresh, though.
