- Of the use of local resources
Co-operate
- You can never do everything by yourself, but a group of people might be able to do a lot
- Communicate with other groups
- Engage experts of all forms
Build lifeboats
- Create self-supporting communities
  - Hire a farmer to provide food. Be sure the farm is balanced.
  - Recycle nutrients to farmland
  - Re-use water
  - Support the farmer
- Avoid dependency on remote supplies
